I. Introduction
The Mound Police Department initiated a public-community survey to learn about concerns, views, and opinions Mound citizens and business owners have about crime and police service. We asked people to answer the questions in the survey by circling the response that best fit their personal experiences or opinions, and not on what they had heard or read about a topic or what people may have told them. The survey covered various topics including:
1 Witnessed violence
2 Contact with the police
3 Illegal drug use
4 Alcohol use amongst juveniles
5 Traffic violations
6 Nuisance violations
7 Personal safety
8 Crime Prevention Programs
9 Mound Police Service
