The Mound Police / Patrol Unit is currently comprised of 2 Police Sergeants and 7 Police Officers. The Patrol Unit conducts operations throughout the City of Mound on a basis of 24 hours a day / 365 days a year.
Officers in the Patrol Unit are usually the first to respond to your home when you report a medical, fire, or, police emergency. Police Officers also proactively address traffic flow and safety issues, concentrate their efforts on addressing identified crime trends and provide a variety of other services to our citizens.
In addition to responding to calls for service and taking initial complaint reports, Police Officers conduct follow-up investigations on most incidents reported. The most serious or involved cases are routed to the Investigations Unit, where detectives provide extensive or specialized investigation.
